This was my first ever LO:
I found a scrapping mag while on my Honeymoon to the US and wanted to give it a go. I made this LO just after we came back. The title and witch were cut out from a paper bag lol.xxx

OMG!! I can't believe i actually did this! It is great to see how much i have improved in 9 months though!
I did this after returning home from a short holiday in October last year. We went to a wildlife park, and I just managed to get a photo of Oliver with a tiger in the background!
Whilst on holiday i had discovered a scrapbooking magazine, and couldnt wait to get home and try it out. I had already been making cards for a few years, so I had some stash to be getting on with! Luckily, i used to buy 12"x12" papers to cut up for cards, so I even had some of those to use.
Thanks for taking me back Frances!

Ok girls...we had to start scrapbooking at some point...right? Well, today, here at Scrapper's Block we are going to take a trip down Memory Lane. I want to see some of your very first layouts. I am going to start you off..
This is one of my first layouts and my, my I have come a long way! First off, where the heck is the title? Oh wait there it is..."September"...that's original. This is certainly one way that I have changed. I will leave a layout incomplete for a couple of days to have the perfect title. Another point, was it really necessary put that many pictures on that layout because I have to tell ya, I probably have a dozen other layouts about what milestones my 2 month old passed in September...it is not that many. I probably could have highlighted a few pics of September and called it a day.
There are a few things that I do like. First, I like how much journaling I did. I can go back to my old albums and you have to read it like a novel. Another...paper piecing. I do that today as much as I can, and that was some creative scrapbooking in those days. Also, see my sticker strips. It's certainly not as cute as some Crate Paper strips, but it was all I had.
There you have it! I showed off my beginner work...let me see yours!
