Do you have...

Post by tajwhite25 on Wed May 06, 2009 12:25 pm

Ok with the economy the way it is. Our scrappy lives don't seem to be suffering. Do you have a monthly budget? How do you do your scrappy shopping? How much in a month do you spend on your habit?

OK, I am awful...I should set a budget, and stick to it...but I just tend to get the need to shop, go and pick up what I fancy. I usually try not to spend much more than about £20 each time (it usually goes just over) but this will be twice, sometimes three times a month. Now i have some goodies being sent to me, i am hoping they will take place of a shopping trip, but I doubt it!

lol Lou I am aweful too. I just bought some new prima and the scrap within reach "afternoon tea collection". I have to have something new atleast once a week. but the good thing is I am not the buy it and not use it scrapper. I use my products. I tryed to set a budget of $50 a month but that went straight out the window about 2 months ago. I usually spend $150 to $200 a month. I am trying not to buy anything until the convention gets here. But i just broke that promise today. LOL, what can i say I love my scrap.

I don't have a budget and I don't really want to think about how much I spend. For the most part, I *think* I am pretty good. That said, I am going to start to write down how much I spend!!!!

that's so funny Jill. I never add up what I spend like most folks. But I know that I spend around $30 to $100 each purchase. I am trying to do better and not buy as much. We will see how that goes.

my inlaws finally have moved out. So I have my scraproom now. I am in the process of organizing everything. While organizing I realized I have way more than one person should. So I have decided to go on a buying freeze until next month. LOL, because the great american scrapbook convention is coming to texas. And all the new summer lines are going to be release. I can't wait. So my goal is to have atleast 5 collections scrapped and completed by then. Wish me luck. I got a new Canon rebel xsi for mothers day so the pictures won't be hard to come by.

I saw that on your blog! woot woot! What a great gift.

You could donate a RAK to the challenge blog to get rid of some of your stuff! Very Happy

I don't have a lot of stuff ... well, sorry, I AM getting there. I've only been scrapping just over a year so I don't have a whole lot accumulated but the past couple of months - YIKES!

lol! I thought of that after I wrote it!
That's my problem - anything I have that I would part with is just too old or from my dollar store days of scrapping!

LOL, mine too. LOL, I have so many things from the dollar store or that only cost a buck or two. That nobody would want. I think I am going to give them to my kids to play with. my son likes to scrapbook.

Luckily we don't have any scrappy shops here Laughing So no temptation! I do order online sometimes, but that is more complicated so don't do it very often. I basically have to order from the US, and the postage is horrific! I know that had I had a scrappy shop in the neighbourhood I wouldn't have managed to resist it...... Wink

the store near me close back in december. and ever since i have been ordering online. i love to see the packages come in the mail. that's half my problem. I do use my goodies though. There are alot of folks who buy just to buy and collect. I use my things. There are a few I love so much i don't want to use. but not many.

You're right: it is fun getting packages in the post! But, I often want to touch/feel/see the products - especially paper - before I buy it....

I'm pretty good I only usually spend about £10 a month, but we always go on a yearly trip to the US for my Birthday/our Anniversary in Sep so I save up and then go crazy when I'm there (a couple of times I have had to buy an extra suitcase to bring all my goodies home lol.) I make sure whereever we go I know where the LSS is and I love Target and Michaels. I still have loads of stuff from last years trip I haven't started on yet.

I don't have a budget and spend way to much on sb stuff! I am never ok with what I have I always find something to need. And with my scrap space limited I really don't need to buy as much as I do.
